Finance Manager – 6 Month Contract

Mode Search is supporting a luxury brand with the search for an experienced Finance Manager to join the business on a 6-month contract. This is a broad and hands-on role overseeing finance operations across its UK, Italian and wider international entities, covering accounting, reporting, cash management, compliance and financial controls while partnering closely with internal teams and external advisers.

The role is based in London and will work across the brand’s international operations, with a particular focus on Italy, the UK and the US. The position reports directly to the CFO and will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external accountants and advisers.

The Role

  • Take ownership of day-to-day finance and accounting activities across multiple international entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
  • Oversee Italian accounting requirements, including bookkeeping, SDI invoicing, VAT, F24 processes and liaison with external accountants and advisers.
  • Manage accounts payable, supplier invoices, payment schedules, outstanding balances and cash flow forecasting across the business.
  • Lead month-end close activities, including reconciliations, accounting entries and review of the P&L and balance sheet.
  • Ensure the correct financial treatment of inventory, raw materials, production costs and cost of goods sold.
  • Manage intercompany invoicing and reconciliations across international entities, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Support transfer pricing processes and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained across cross-border operations.
  • Review relevant export documentation and support the financial requirements associated with international trade.
  • Lead monthly budget reviews and contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning.
  • Provide meaningful financial analysis and insight to senior management, monitoring performance against agreed budgets and forecasts.
  • Strengthen finance procedures, internal controls and reporting processes while identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and automation.
  • Maintain clear, accurate and audit-ready financial documentation across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
