We're partnering with a well-established international business to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on an initial 3–6 month contract. Offering a competitive day rate and highly flexible hybrid working from their Reading office, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative finance team and make an immediate impact.
This role would suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with senior stakeholders and taking ownership of key financial reporting, controls and business performance.
The Opportunity
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements and providing commercial insight to support business decision-making.
This is a hands-on position where you'll be expected to hit the ground running, build strong relationships across the business and help drive continuous improvement within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals.
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management activities.
- Monitor business performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Drive improvements across financial processes, controls and reporting.
- Assist with audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements.
- Support finance transformation and system improvement initiatives where required.
- Provide leadership and support to members of the finance team.
About You
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience with a strong track record in finance management roles.

- Previous Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant experience.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting expertise.
- Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within a fast-paced, commercial environment.
- Strong Excel and ERP systems knowledge.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- The confidence to work autonomously and make an immediate contribution.
