The successful applicant will support both strategic and operational finance activity, gaining valuable insight into the breadth and complexity of financial management in a district setting.

The role will support the Head of Finance and Property with the day-to-day management of the finance service, including:
- Financial management
- Reporting
- Budget preparation
- Annual closedown
- Production of accounting statements
The role will also provide financial advice and support to a range of Council services, elected Members and external stakeholders, including external auditors.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a CCAB/CIMA qualified finance professional, or someone with strong relevant local government finance experience, who is looking to broaden their skills, gain experience in a different local authority setting and contribute to wider public sector collaboration during LGR.
