Hays Senior Finance are supporting a highly successful, PE-backed organisation in the West Midlands with the recruitment of a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Your new role
Reporting directly into the CFO, you will take ownership of key day-to-day activities for the principal trading entity whilst managing a small operational finance team.
- Lead the month-end process and financial reporting for the main trading entity and group holding companies
- Manage and develop a team covering accounts payable, payroll, banking and finance administration
- Support the acquisition process, including financial integration and completion of balance sheet reviews
- Oversee VAT, corporation tax and PAYE compliance, working closely with external advisors
- Manage year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation
- Drive improvements to financial controls, processes and reporting
- Develop meaningful KPIs and management information to support operational decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to improve data quality and finance processes

What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong month-end and operational finance experience, ideally gained in a growing or complex business
- Technically sound with knowledge of tax, VAT, statutory accounts, consolidation and cash flow
- High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical capability
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience of managing and developing finance staff
- Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of ERP systems
What you'll get in return

The role is office-based, so you'll be comfortable working in Kingswinford/Dudley 5 days a week.
