£40,000 - £50,000
Platinum Recruitment are looking to hire a Finance Manager for a highly ambitious entrepreneur, and this role is like no other in the North West right now.
The new Finance Manager will be joining a growing, multi-entity group where the pace of growth, investment and opportunity means finance now needs to sit internally at the heart of the business.
The group already benefits from a supremely talented external accountant whose delivery is exceptional. They’ll remain an important part of the journey, but the business has reached the point where it needs an ambitious Finance Manager internally, every day.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Someone who can take full ownership of day-to-day finance across the group, provide greater visibility across each entity and work directly alongside the entrepreneur to speed up decision-making around growth, investment, cash and future opportunities.
But technical ability alone won't get you this job.
We want someone Driven. Ambitious. Hungry.
Ideally, you'll be a qualified accountant who isn't interested in simply maintaining a finance function — you want to build one, influence a business and accelerate your own career at the same time.
- Multi-entity & group-wide finance ownership
- Work directly with the entrepreneur
- Influence genuine growth & investment decisions
- Autonomy to shape the internal finance function
- Outstanding external accounting support
- Exposure well beyond a traditional Finance Manager role
- A genuine opportunity to progress as the group grows
