Equifind Partnership with Leading Financial Services Firm

Equifind are excited to have joined up with a leading financial services firm in London, who are looking to hire a finance manager to join them to support on an acquisition, on an interim basis.

We’re looking for a qualified accountant to come in and support the wider finance team with some project work. You’ll need to get up to speed quickly and be confident as you'll be the lead with the project and integrate with stakeholders all across the business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain a project plan, tracking milestones, dependencies, and deliverables – and deliver regular updates to the finance team
  • Support the onboarding of acquired entities, including chart of accounts mapping, opening balance entries, and system configuration
  • Attend cross-functional acquisition calls and represent the accounting team in integration planning discussions
  • Perform financial due diligence on target entities, including review of historical financials, accounting policies, internal controls and any other relevant information in line with the overall company checklist
  • Prepare technical accounting notes related to acquisition transactions, to support the purchase price allocation, goodwill, and any contingent consideration under IFRS & US GAAP
  • Assess and document accounting treatment for complex areas such as revenue recognition, leases, and share-based payments under IFRS & US GAAP
  • Ensure acquisition accounting complies with US GAAP, IFRS, or UK GAAP as applicable
  • Assist in preparing post-acquisition financial reporting packages and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with other internal teams (Tax, Treasury, Legal) and external advisors to ensure alignment on accounting-related matters
  • Prepare any acquisition and post-acquisition-related journal entries, including consolidation adjustments and intercompany eliminations
  • Ad hoc projects as and when requested by senior management

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA)
  • Experience of working within the financial services sector is beneficial
  • Experience of project work
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Strong excel systems experience
  • Be a self-starter and deliver reports in a timely and accurate manner

About the Business

An international financial services firm that has had tremendous growth over the past ten years through global expansion and aggressive acquisitions. A real competitor in its market.

Although the business prides itself on being highly professional, there is a great feel in the office that is created by the friendly and interactive culture. Collaboration is a big thing in the finance team and there is always opportunity to move around.

You will work closely with the entire finance team and other stakeholders, to lead this project for the next few months.

For this role, we are preferably looking for candidates happy to go into the great London offices three days per week.

Salary

This finance manager opportunity in London will pay in the region of £65k-75k per annum, depending on your level of experience and industry background.

For this assignment we are looking at candidates on no more than one week’s notice, as we would ideally like someone to start ASAP.

This assignment should be for 3-6 months.
