The Role
We have an great opportunity for a Finance & Business Support Manager to take a leading role in our Ghana operations, someone who can go beyond reporting the numbers and use them to shape decisions, challenge thinking and help drive the business forward.
And, you will be doing it in Ghana, a dynamic, fast-growing market where international experience, adaptability and commercial instinct really matter. This role comes with fantastic ex-pat benefits!
As our Finance & Business Support Manager, you will be a key member of both the finance team and the in-country management team, taking ownership of the financial health and integrity of our Ghana operation.
You will bring clarity to complex financial information, turn data into actionable insight and ensure the business has the financial discipline and visibility it needs to make confident decisions.

This is not a role for someone who simply wants to sit behind a spreadsheet, we are looking for someone who wants to understand the operation, challenge the status quo, partner with the business and make a tangible difference.
Key Responsibilities

Budgeting and Cost Control
- Contribute to the budgeting process and ensure understanding across commercial, finance and operations
- Ensure accurate job costing is implemented in collaboration with commercial and operations teams

Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, statements, and projections for internal and external stakeholders
- Monthly job cost reporting and variance analysis
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to guide strategic decisions

Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow and maintain a rolling 3-month cash flow forecast to ensure financial stability and plan operational cash requirements
- Manage working capital, including accounts payable, accounts receivable to optimise cash utilisation

Financial Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies and long-term financial plans that align with business goals
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders (banks, advisory firms, and tax authorities)

Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity

Financial Operations Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general financial activities
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions

- Audit and Compliance
- Coordinate financial audits and reviews, working with external auditors to ensure accurate financial statements
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and tax laws
Your Experience & Skills
Essential Criteria
- Third level qualification in finance
- Previous experience working in a role with similar responsibilities
- Construction industry experience is highly desirable but not essential
