About The Role
A Finance Manager is required for a long-term temporary contract in Andover, paying £250-£350 per hour. FINANCE MANAGER | ANDOVER | £50,000-£60,000
Sheridan Maine are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to join an established business in Andover on a long term contract basis. The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
Key Duties Of The Role Include
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Manage month end and year end close processes, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
- Produce timely and accurate management information and financial statements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial insight to support business decisions
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
- Assist with statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audits
- Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and systems
- Work closely with operational teams to analyse costs and improve financial performance
- Support finance projects and process improvement initiatives as required

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified accountant
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Experience of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar would be advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
