Finance Manager Permanent Opportunity | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will lead a team and take responsibility for the financial reporting and performance of key business areas. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across finance and operations, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis that supports business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team, providing coaching, mentoring, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability across finance and operational teams.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts for key revenue and cost areas, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time, maintaining strong financial controls and compliance.
  • Review and challenge financial variances, providing clear commentary and actionable recommendations.
  • Support the preparation of rolling forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities, and key business trends.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner, providing financial guidance, support, and constructive challenge to operational leaders.
  • Support cost-efficiency initiatives and identify opportunities to improve profitability and margins.
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting, processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Support strategic projects and provide ad hoc financial analysis to aid business decision-making.
  • Maintain high standards of governance, compliance, and financial control.

About You

We are looking for an ambitious and driven finance professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, multi-site organisation.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting expertise.
  • Proven experience managing, developing, and motivating finance teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience delivering insights that support commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using Sun Systems would be advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
