Vickerstock are working in partnership with an industry giant to recruit a Finance Manager on a full-time permanent basis.
About the Position
Reporting to the Finance Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, strengthening financial controls, and providing meaningful commercial insight to support strategic decision-making across the business. Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved and financial information is delivered accurately and on time.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, and performance analysis, providing meaningful insights to senior leadership.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, helping the business make informed commercial decisions and achieve strategic objectives.
- Analyse financial performance, identifying key trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, while providing clear recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Maintain robust financial controls and governance, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial records and transactions.
- Manage the year-end audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, controls, systems, and operational efficiencies.
- Partner with operational and departmental leaders, providing financial guidance, challenging assumptions, and supporting performance improvement initiatives.
- Monitor costs, inventory, and working capital performance, helping to maximise efficiency, reduce waste, and achieve budget and forecast targets.
- Lead, develop, and support the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.

- Qualified Accountant with 3 year’s PQE (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- Experience in the manufacturing, engineering sectors or with Big 4.
Desirable
- Experience with ERP/MRP implementation
- Sage Line 500 experience
