Hays Senior Finance are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Worcestershire with the recruitment of a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a highly visible role, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance and operational efficiency within a complex environment.
Your new role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, delivering insightful management information and supporting operational teams in achieving business objectives. The position offers a varied and commercially focused remit with strong exposure to manufacturing operations and business strategy.
- Lead the month-end close process and production of accurate management accounts
- Develop budgets, forecasts and financial models to support business planning
- Analyse financial and operational performance, providing recommendations to improve profitability
- Oversee product costing, margin analysis and manufacturing performance reporting
- Monitor inventory, working capital and cash generation performance
- Produce board-level reporting packs, KPIs and performance commentary
- Partner with operational, engineering and commercial teams to support business decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify cost reduction opportunities
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Proven experience within the manufacturing or recycling sectors
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting expertise
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, stock control and product costing
- Excellent analytical and commercial finance skills
- Strong Excel skills and highly proficient with ERP systems
What you'll get in return

Due to the nature of the role and industry, you will be fully office-based and therefore comfortable getting to Tenbury Wells as well as Seaham on the odd occasion.
