Finance Manager
White Horse Employment are delighted to have been retained by ALH Systems with the recruitment of a newly created Finance Manager position.
Based in Westbury, ALH Systems is a long-established and innovative manufacturing business, developing and manufacturing specialist resins and engineered products for customers across more than 20 countries. Part of the Indutrade Group, the business continues to grow and develop its product offering across a range of sectors including utilities, electronics, telecommunications, construction and rail.
This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant or Finance Manager to take genuine ownership of a broad finance role, reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller. ALH Systems are also open to considering a four-day working week for the right candidate.
You will play a key role in producing management accounts, analysing business performance and providing meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders and operational leaders. This is a hands-on and commercially focused position offering significant visibility, autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business.

Responsibilities
- Own the month-end process through to the production of accurate management accounts
- Prepare KPI reporting, variance analysis and meaningful financial commentary
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Support VAT, R&D tax claims, year-end audit and statutory reporting
- Provide financial insight across the manufacturing operation, including inventory, cost accounting and margin analysis
- Drive improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting
Key Requirements

- Experience within an SME or manufacturing environment, ideally in a hands-on Management Accountant or Finance Manager role
- Strong month-end and management accounts experience
- Qualified or qualified by experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Commercially minded with experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Strong Excel and finance systems experience; Sage 200 desirable
- Proactive, hands-on and confident working with senior stakeholders
