Finance Manager
Location: Elland, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
Reporting to: CFO
Build. Control. Improve.
Are you an experienced Finance Manager who thrives in a fast-moving environment?
Are you looking for a role where you can build, improve and influence, rather than simply maintain an established finance function?
As a growing company, this is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage and help shape the systems, processes and infrastructure that will support its next phase of growth.
Areera is a tech-led recycling business focused on transforming the way electronic waste is recovered and reused. Combining advanced recycling processes with automation, robotics and data-driven technology, Areera is scaling its UK operations and building a business focused on recovering valuable materials and supporting the circular economy.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of financial control, month-end close, cash and working capital, management reporting and key finance processes.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working at pace, solving problems and getting into the detail. You will be joining a business where processes and systems are still developing, so the ability to take ownership, make decisions and build structure is essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
