Finance Manager

Leeds | £50,000–£55,000 + bonus | Hybrid

Ready to step up from Management Accountant into a broader Finance Manager role? A well-established, family-owned business in Leeds is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day financial reporting, management accounts, and controls.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant or Senior Management Accountant who wants more responsibility, greater commercial exposure, and direct access to senior leadership.

You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and an experienced fractional Finance Director, giving you the chance to take real ownership while still having senior-level support when needed.

The Role

You will take the lead on the day-to-day financial management of the business, including:

  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Managing month-end, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning
  • Producing commercial reporting on revenue, costs, margins, and profitability
  • Maintaining oversight of working capital
  • Coordinating VAT, payroll information, and year-end requirements
  • Improving finance processes, controls, and reporting
  • Providing clear financial information to the Managing Director

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
