Hays are working with an established business within the Northamptonshire area who have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Finance Manager to join a large, dynamic and growing organisation. This role sits within a high-performing finance team and offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, business transformation initiatives, and strategic projects across multiple business entities.
Your new role
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring strong financial governance, regulatory compliance, and effective financial control across the business. Partnering closely with senior leadership, you will provide commercial insight while supporting business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts under IFRS for multiple legal entities.
- Managing external audit processes and acting as the key liaison for auditors.
- Maintaining robust balance sheet controls and reconciliations.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Analysing financial performance, identifying trends and providing meaningful insights.
- Reviewing and improving finance processes and control frameworks.
- Supporting the integration of acquisitions and business transformation projects.
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, tax submissions and regulatory reporting.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across finance and operational teams.
- Providing commercial challenge and financial guidance to support business decision-making.

What you'll need to succeed
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant - Practice trained ideally big 4 with 3-4 years of industry experience
- Strong financial control, governance and compliance experience.
- Proven experience within a complex commercial environment.
- Knowledge of statutory reporting, external audits and IFRS.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering abilities.
- Experience of finance transformation or process improvement initiatives would be advantageous.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working for a 400 - 500 million Plus TO business preferably from a Technology Background
