ARRAN Sense of Scotland Finance Manager Role
ARRAN Sense of Scotland, based in the central belt, is looking to recruit for a fixed term Finance Manager role for maternity cover. The role is for 9 months from mid-October 2026 to mid-July 2027.
This role will be a senior position in the organisation, working closely with the CEO/CFO, offering exposure to all areas of the business across a broad range of tasks. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a premium brand within a business focused on an exciting growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- The production of monthly management accounts
- Management of month end close process
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of the year end close process including preparation of annual financial information, liaising with external accountants and tax advisors, and review of the statutory accounts and tax computations.
- Maintaining and reporting weekly cash flow forecast
- Maintenance of purchase ledger and supplier payment runs
- Payroll processing and compliance with HMRC
- The preparation of VAT returns
- Acting as key contact for external stakeholders including HMRC, Banking Providers, Auditors, Landlords, HR, and other critical suppliers
- Providing HR Admin support for all areas of the business
- Ongoing monitoring and improvement of processes and efficiency within the finance function
- Supporting with the development of the wider finance function and objective setting
- Business partnering with commercial and operational functions of the business

- Fully qualified accountant with the ability to operate in a small finance function
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
