Totum Partners is working with an international Law firm to recruit a Finance Manager for their London office. This opportunity will suit Financial/Management Accountants who have worked in global Law firms seeking to take a step-up, or someone currently working as a Finance Manager within the Legal sector looking for a new challenge. Hybrid working and competitive salary is available with this opportunity, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Finance Manager Duties:

  • Manage the monthly payroll process for multiple jurisdictions, working closely with external payroll providers.
  • Prepare monthly accounting schedules, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, benefits, and fixed assets.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reporting activities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Deliver financial analysis and reporting to support senior management with business planning and performance reviews.
  • Partner with departmental managers to monitor expenditure and identify opportunities for improved financial performance.
  • Prepare indirect tax returns across multiple international jurisdictions, including VAT and equivalent local taxes.
  • Oversee treasury activities, including cash management and banking relationships.
  • Support the preparation of statutory and tax reporting requirements across the firm's international entities.

  • APPLICANTS MUST HAVE SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE WORKING IN INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRMS.
  • Part or fully ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Solicitors' Accounts Rules and LLP accounting.
  • Experience using 3E/Aderant is highly desirable.
