Responsible for managing over 6,000 acres of parks, lakes, woodlands and green spaces across Milton Keynes, The Parks Trust combines commercial acumen with genuine social purpose. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, we're looking for an ambitious Finance Manager to become the operational lead for the finance function and the Finance Director's trusted number two.

The Role
You'll lead the operational finance function, ensuring robust financial control, compliance and high-quality reporting across the Trust and its subsidiaries.
Other Key Responsibilities Include
- Month-end and year-end reporting
- Statutory accounts and group consolidations
- Annual budgeting and forecasting
- External audit and regulatory compliance
- Business partnering with senior leaders across the organisation
- Cashflow management and long-term financial planning
- Tax compliance including VAT and Corporation Tax
- Developing finance systems, processes and internal controls
- Leading and developing a finance team of four
- Supporting strategic projects and deputising for the Finance Director when required
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with excellent leadership and stakeholder management.
Key Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Applications are also welcomed from candidates approaching qualification or experienced Qualified by Experience (QBE) finance professionals with relevant leadership experience.
- Previous experience within a charity or not-for-profit environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Experience using Iplicit and/or Yardi would be beneficial but isn't a prerequisite.
- Experience leading month-end, year-end and statutory reporting.
- Strong business partnering skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
- Previous people management experience with a passion for developing others.
- A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and drive change.
