An established and growing organisation in Wallingford is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join its finance leadership team.
This is a broad and commercially focused role, offering responsibility for financial reporting, controls, team leadership and process improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information while supporting wider business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting activities
- Ensure robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity
- Prepare and review management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Manage, mentor and develop members of the finance team
- Drive finance process improvements and automation initiatives
- Support audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business

About You
You'll be an experienced finance professional with a strong technical accounting background and previous experience managing teams within a fast-paced environment. You will ideally possess:

- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong systems and process improvement mindset
- Ability to operate effectively in a changing and growing organisation
