The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial control while providing commercial insight that supports business growth and leading the transactional finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day finance function and manage a high-performing finance team.
- Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, VAT, tax and audit requirements.
- Develop and enhance financial controls, systems and reporting processes.
- Provide meaningful financial analysis and business partnering across departments.
- Support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and oversee month-end and year-end processes.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimisation.
- Mentor, coach and develop members of the finance team.

About You
You'll be a confident finance professional who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial awareness and excellent leadership skills.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Qualified or Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and management accounting.
- Excellent leadership and people management experience.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
