Due to the continued growth and development of the firm, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Finance Manager.
Purpose of the Role
This is a key leadership role responsible for the effective day-to-day management and continuous development of our Finance function. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will translate financial strategy into operational delivery, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance and the ongoing development of our Finance Team. You will play a central role in supporting business performance, maintaining compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules, improving systems and processes, and ensuring the finance operation remains resilient, efficient and future-focused.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop the Finance Team, overseeing office and client account operations, financial controls and regulatory compliance.
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital to support informed business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules, statutory requirements and internal financial policies.
- Drive continuous improvement through process development, automation and the effective use of technology.

Experience And Qualifications You Need
- A relevant accounting or finance qualification or equivalent technical expertise gained through significant experience.
- Proven experience in a finance management, financial operations or senior accounting role, including leadership of a finance team.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, VAT and financial controls.
- Experience within a legal practice or other regulated professional services environment would be highly advantageous.

Location
St Austell, Cornwall with hybrid / remote working opportunities.
Hours
This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we will consider applications from candidates seeking alternative working arrangements.
