Finance Manager

We are seeking a commercially driven Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, controls, and performance insights across multiple revenue-generating and operational business units. This is a key leadership role responsible for enabling strategic decision-making, improving financial performance, and driving process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple business units
  • Ensure strong financial controls, including accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analyse financial performance, challenge variances, and deliver clear, actionable insights
  • Support rolling forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities, and key business drivers
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to operational leaders, providing commercial guidance and challenge
  • Identify and deliver cost optimisation and margin improvement initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, systems, and internal controls
  • Support strategic projects and provide ad hoc financial analysis
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, including information security and governance standards

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, multi-site or operational environment
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Commercially minded, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with financial systems (ERP exposure preferred)
