Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will take ownership of the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and insightful analysis to support business growth.
Client Details
Our client based in Hertfordshire is a growing professional services organisation supporting clients across the UK. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance function and support strategic decision-making within the business.
Description
- Produce monthly management accounts and board reports
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions
- Prepare VAT returns and support external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Partner with department managers to improve financial performance
- Mentor and develop junior finance staff

Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- A strong background in accounting and finance, with either a professional qualification or finalist (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to lead and develop a team effectively.

Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
