Finance Manager – 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (Transformation)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to: UK Finance Director
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term basis, supporting one of our business units through an important period of transformation. This is much more than a traditional Finance Manager role. Alongside taking ownership of day-to-day financial management and reporting, you will play a key role in strengthening processes, improving financial controls and driving finance transformation across the business. You will take ownership of the order-to-invoice process, help stabilise and improve financial reporting, introduce scalable and efficient processes, and ensure the business has the structure and controls needed to support its continued growth. You’ll also manage a small finance administration team, work closely with operational leadership and PCP’s wider finance function, and act as a key driver of positive change within the business unit. This role would suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems and building structure from the ground up. You’ll be comfortable working in an evolving environment, able to challenge existing ways of working and confident in bringing people with you through change.
What You’ll Be Doing
Financial Management & Reporting
- Take full ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage CRM-to-finance system reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Prepare and review journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial data is complete, accurate and reliable.
- Improve the quality of financial reporting, analysis and insight provided to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues within financial processes and reporting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
