Interim Finance Manager
Cedar is partnered with a PE-backed data centres business in the City of London to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for a 6-12 month assignment. The role is paying £450-£500 per day.
The Company
The business owns and operates a growing portfolio of data centre assets across multiple entities and jurisdictions. It operates in a capital-intensive environment, with significant investment into new sites, acquisitions, development activity and ongoing portfolio growth. Finance works closely with commercial teams, lenders, advisers and external partners, supporting both day-to-day reporting and wider investment activity.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Interim Finance Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of entities and help ensure financial information is accurate, well controlled and delivered to deadline.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting across multiple entities.
- Reviewing balance sheet positions, reconciliations and supporting analysis.
- Coordinating reporting inputs and consolidations across the wider group.
- Supporting acquisitions, disposals and other transaction-related finance activity.
- Managing cash positions, funding requirements and intercompany movements.
- Producing financial information for lenders, senior stakeholders and external advisers.
- Supporting budgeting, reforecasting and performance analysis.
- Coordinating statutory reporting and the external audit process.
- Improving reporting processes, controls and consistency across finance.

Your Profile
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant.
- Strong post-qualified finance experience within a complex, multi-entity environment.
- Experience within data centres, infrastructure, property-heavy or other asset-intensive businesses would be highly relevant.
- Audit experience across data centres or similarly asset-heavy businesses would be useful.
- Strong financial reporting, balance sheet and consolidation capability.
- Good understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting.
- Exposure to transactions, lender reporting and cash management.
- £450-£500 per day should represent a fair market rate for your experience or a logical progression from your previous compensation.

Compensation & Working Arrangements
This Interim Finance Manager assignment is expected to run for 6-12 months, with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week in impressive City of London offices. The role offers broad exposure across reporting, control, transactions and cash management within a PE-backed data centres business, with a day rate of £450-£500 per day.
