About Froot Pops
Froot Pops is a growing UK food brand making frozen fruit treats. We manufacture our products in the UK and supply retail and wholesale partners across the UK and Ireland.
We are a small, ambitious team building a business with plenty of room to grow. We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who enjoys getting into the detail, takes ownership and helps us make confident commercial decisions.
The Role
You will own the day-to-day finance function for Froot Pops, combining hands-on accounting with management reporting, cash forecasting and commercial analysis. Working directly with our founder and closely with operations, you will make sure our numbers are accurate, our processes are reliable and our financial priorities are clear.
You will personally handle most transactional finance and lead the month-end close. Our external accountants will retain payroll processing and statutory year-end accounts and filings; you will coordinate their inputs and maintain complete, reconciled records throughout the year.
Early in the role, you will complete a manageable amount of reconciliation and tidying of existing records, then establish a consistent reporting and control framework in QuickBooks Online.
What we’re looking for
Essential
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience is required.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, and qualified by experience with a strong record of independently delivering comparable responsibilities. All candidates must meet the 5-year minimum.
- Proven ownership of month-end close, management accounts, balance-sheet reconciliations, UK VAT returns and cash forecasting.
- Experience in an inventory-heavy product or manufacturing business, including stock reconciliations, product costing and margin analysis.
- Experience working in a small or growing business, with a willingness to personally handle transactional accounting and resolve issues.
- Confidence using QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills, including maintaining financial models.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines independently.
- Clear communication: you can explain financial performance in plain language, raise concerns early and recommend practical next steps.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
