About the Role

At Hoshizaki Europe, we're looking for an experienced and commercially focused Finance Manager to join our leadership team in Telford. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, supporting business planning, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. You will also lead and develop a small finance team while partnering with stakeholders across the business to support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial reporting and control of the business, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met with accuracy and integrity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reporting monthly and quarterly financial results to Head Office in Japan.
  • Producing profit forecasts, performance analysis, and highlighting business risks and opportunities to senior management.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process, statutory accounts preparation, and mid-term business planning:
  • Identifying and implementing business improvement initiatives across finance and wider business functions.
  • Driving cost-saving opportunities and supporting budgetary control across departments.
  • Managing financial compliance, internal controls, taxation matters, VAT returns, and audit requirements.
  • Overseeing activities such as stock takes, insurance administration, supplier financial assessments, pension schemes, banking administration, and GDPR compliance.
  • Leading and developing a team of finance professionals while fostering collaboration across the business.

What You Bring

We're looking for a proactive finance leader with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering high-quality financial insight. You will have:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and statutory accounting.
  • A proven ability to analyze business performance and provide meaningful recommendations to management.
  • Experience leading, developing, and supporting finance team members.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with experience driving process and system enhancements.
  • Experience of AX2012 or Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
