Job Title
Our client, a fast-growing and innovative organisation operating within the technology sector, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support its continued expansion. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic business with a strong growth trajectory and a collaborative team culture.
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial strategy, governance, and day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for ensuring financial stability, driving performance, and supporting the business as it scales.
This is a key leadership position with responsibility for managing and developing a small finance team, improving processes, and implementing best practices. The role offers excellent scope to influence strategic decision-making and contribute to long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial insight to senior leadership and operational teams
- Drive financial performance with a focus on cost control and commercial outcomes
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and financial regulations
- Lead improvements in financial reporting, efficiency, and automation
Role Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
- Produce detailed management accounts with clear commentary
- Deliver cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks

Financial Operations & Compliance
- Manage the full finance function within an SME environment
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and collections
- Ensure VAT reporting and tax compliance requirements are met
- Manage payroll processes and employee-related financial reporting
- Maintain reconciliations and support audit processes
- Act as a key contact for external advisors and financial stakeholders
Process & System Improvements
- Identify and implement improvements across finance systems and processes
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and compliance
- Promote the use of automation and digital tools to enhance efficiency
Internal Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work cross-functionally to support business operations and customer delivery
- Contribute to project work and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with data protection, information security, and company policies
- Support evolving ways of working within the finance function
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role within an SME
- Strong understanding of long-term contract accounting (e.g. IFRS 15)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Experience in cash flow forecasting and financial planning
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive efficiencies
- Experience supporting business growth and managing change
- Familiarity with digital payment platforms and subscription billing systems

Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Experience within an SME or end-to-end finance environment is advantageous
Job Details
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Permanent position
- Office-based role
Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary: £40,000 £45,000 per annum
- Company pension scheme
- Bonus scheme
- 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Sick pay
