Role Description

The Finance Manager role at Excool is a full-time, on-site position based in Bromsgrove, UK. We are looking for someone to work with the Finance Director on the financial function of the Excool Group, ensuring all aspects of the financial management processes are operating efficiently, providing timely and accurate financial reports, whilst managing and developing the existing finance team.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Supervision of the timely preparation and review of monthly Management Accounts to existing deadlines
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly group consolidation reports
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations - reviews and adjustments
  • Reviewing and approving payment runs
  • Monitoring company cash flow
  • Review of VAT Returns, Overseas Sales Tax Returns and ONS surveys, ahead of submission
  • Overseeing the Fixed Asset Register and reviewing of additions/disposals and depreciation
  • Supervision of the sales invoicing and purchase ledger teams, and providing support and cover for the management accountants
  • Managing the internal team for the year end audit and dealing with queries arising
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to aid in long-term and short-term decision making to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation

Person Specification

  • Part Qualified / Qualified / QBE (6-8 years)
  • Strong Manufacturing Experience desirable
  • Ability to manage a growing team
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One & Sage 50 beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail, be meticulous and efficient
  • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of data privacy standards
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and communicate effectively
  • Extremely organised, excellent time management and able to remain calm in a pressurised environment
