Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager position with responsibility for leading a small finance team and overseeing the day-to-day finance function. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in financial reporting, business planning, and operational decision-making.
This is an office-based role offering excellent benefits and the opportunity to take ownership of a varied finance remit.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day running of the finance department.
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior management.
- Attend management meetings and contribute to business planning and strategic decision-making.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Maintain strong financial controls and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
- Oversee cash flow management, credit control, and working capital.
- Produce financial analysis to support stock control and operational performance.
- Manage the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
- Oversee the monthly payroll process.
- Manage relationships with external providers, including pensions, insurance, utilities, IT, and telecommunications.
- Negotiate and manage a range of supplier contracts.

Candidate profile:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience leading or supervising a finance team.
- Commercially minded with the confidence to support senior management.
- Hands-on approach with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent systems and Excel skills
Salary and benefits:
- Competitive salary dependent on experience of circa £50,000
- Excellent benefits package.
