Hays are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Oxfordshire that is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Finance Manager.
This is a highly visible role sitting at the heart of the business, partnering closely with operational leaders to improve performance, drive decision-making and provide the financial insight needed to support continued growth and improvement.
You'll be responsible for leading operational finance activities across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, inventory and capital investment, whilst acting as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the manufacturing operation.
Salary: Up to £75,000
Location: Kidlington, Fully on-site

Key responsibilities:
- Business partner senior operational leaders across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
- Lead monthly management accounts, reporting and variance analysis.
- Drive the annual budget and forecasting process.
- Provide meaningful financial insight to support decision making and operational performance improvements.
- Take ownership of inventory reporting and controls.
- Lead standard costing processes and support pricing and profitability analysis.
- Support capital investment appraisals and post-investment reviews.
- Ensure robust financial controls, balance sheet integrity and audit compliance.
- Manage and develop a small finance team.

Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred).
- Strong manufacturing finance background.
- Experience working with product costing and inventory.
- Proven business partnering experience with operational stakeholders.
- Comfortable challenging, influencing and driving performance improvements.
- Strong Excel and ERP system experience.
- Previous management experience would be advantageous.
