About the company
HireIQ is partnering with a growing, privately owned business to appoint a commercially minded finance leader. Reporting directly to the owners, you’ll lead the finance function and provide the insight and support needed to guide the business through its next phase of growth.
This role would be well suited to a hands on finance professional who can combine strategic financial leadership with oversight of day-to-day finance. You’ll work closely with the owners and senior team, driving process improvement and efficiencies.
About the job
- Lead the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial performance.
- Advise the owners and senior leaders on commercial decisions, investment opportunities and business planning.
- Develop financial models and analysis to assess growth plans, projects and potential opportunities.
- Prepare timely management accounts and clear reporting for senior leaders and the board.
- Build useful KPIs and reporting that improve visibility of performance across the business.
- Maintain strong financial controls, policies and processes as the organisation grows.
- Oversee core finance operations, including billing, payroll, VAT, banking, payments, supplier accounts and credit control.
- Manage working capital and cash flow, and support the resolution of financial and operational issues.
- Provide financial oversight across a multi-site operation, including location-level performance, budgets and project costs.
- Work with operational colleagues on site budgets, new openings, development projects and cost control.
- Review finance systems and processes, improving reporting, data quality and efficiency.
- Identify practical opportunities to automate routine work and make thoughtful use of financial technology and AI.

- Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Strong knowledge of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial controls.
- Experience improving finance processes, systems and reporting.
- A practical, analytical approach to commercial decision-making.
