Location: Primarily home-based (remote), with occasional travel to the RoR office, Trustee and Board meetings, British Horseracing Authority offices, and other locations as required.
Hours: Part-time (approximately 3 days per week or equivalent hours), with review as necessary.
Reporting to: Managing Director and Trustees
Salary: £31,623.60 (PTE)
Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) is British racing’s official aftercare charity, dedicated to safeguarding the welfare of former racehorses and supporting them to thrive beyond the finish line.
Role Purpose
The Finance Manager has overall responsibility for the effective financial management of Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), ensuring the organisation maintains robust financial controls, statutory compliance, and high standards of financial governance.

Working closely with the Managing Director and Trustees, the postholder will provide accurate and timely financial information, strategic financial insight, and expert guidance to support decision-making, organisational sustainability, and the achievement of RoR's charitable objectives.
The role combines operational financial management with strategic planning and governance responsibilities, requiring a proactive and commercially aware finance professional with excellent technical expertise and stakeholder management skills.
