About the Company

We are partnering with a well-established and respected organisation seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join their finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, controls, and team leadership within a growing and dynamic business.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust controls, and supporting strategic business decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior stakeholders.
  • Manage group reporting requirements and act as the key contact for Group Finance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.
  • Lead the annual statutory audit process and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Maintain and enhance financial controls, compliance processes, and audit readiness.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting and IFRS 16 lease reporting.
  • Ensure payroll and pension reporting is completed accurately and on time.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small finance team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial performance and control.

Qualifications

  • ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Demonstrable experience in financial and management reporting.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial compliance requirements.
  • Experience working within a group or multi-entity reporting environment.
  • Previous team management or mentoring experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
