We're partnering with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial operations, support strategic decision-making, and lead a high-performing team in a collaborative environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing operational finance activities, and supporting the wider business through insightful financial management.

This role offers a broad remit, combining team leadership, financial control, business partnering, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports.
  • Manage short and long-term cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee monthly journals and payroll interfaces.
  • Review debtor and creditor positions, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Prepare regulatory and statutory financial returns.
  • Partner with operational managers to provide financial guidance and best practice support.
  • Drive improvements across financial systems, controls and processes.

About You

We're looking for a proactive finance professional who enjoys balancing technical accounting responsibilities with leadership and stakeholder engagement.

You'll ideally have:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification (or be actively working towards qualification).
  • Previous experience producing management accounts.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial controls.
  • Experience managing or supervising finance staff.
  • Exposure to purchase ledger, sales ledger, journals, reconciliations and cash management.
  • Strong systems and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A hands-on approach, with a focus on accuracy, continuous improvement and delivering results.
