Role details
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation in Coventry. Reporting to the senior finance team, you will oversee the day-to-day finance function, taking ownership of month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial analysis. You will act as a key business partner to senior stakeholders, providing commercial insight to support decision making, while leading and developing the finance team and driving process improvements across the function.
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
- Take ownership of the month-end management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly management information, providing meaningful commentary on financial performance, key variances and areas for improvement.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with senior stakeholders to develop accurate financial plans.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to operational and commercial teams, providing financial insight and challenging performance to support business decision making.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, translating complex financial information into clear and commercially focused recommendations.
- Lead, manage and develop the finance team, providing coaching and support while ensuring high standards of performance, accuracy and delivery.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and business performance, identifying trends and areas requiring further investigation.
- Provide commercial financial analysis and insight to support strategic and operational decision making.
- Support year-end accounts, audit and statutory reporting requirements.

What the successful candidate will bring
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Strong management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Previous experience of business partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and provide clear commercial insight.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
