Finance Manager – Charity / International NFP
Part-time | c.1–2 days per week | Flexible / Remote with occasional London presence
£50,000–£55,000 FTE OR flexible freelance/portfolio day rate arrangement.
We are working with an established international Charity / NFP organisation to recruit a part-time Finance Manager to take responsibility for the organisation’s financial management, reporting and day-to-day finance operations.
About the Role
This is a broad, hands-on role reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the senior management team. The Finance Manager will also manage and support an existing Finance Officer.
The role is expected to require approximately 1–2 days per week, with flexibility around how those days are worked. There may, for example, be fewer days required during quieter periods and additional support around month-end, budgeting, audit or other busy periods.

As a result, we are open to candidates looking for a permanent part-time position as well as experienced freelance / portfolio Finance Managers looking to add another long-term client to their portfolio.
Role Details
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management and the Board
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, payments, expenses and banking
- Manage audit and accounting processes, tax returns and banking across multiple legal entities
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity
- Support the CEO and senior management team with budgeting, financial analysis and strategic decision-making
- Ensure restricted funds are appropriately monitored, allocated and reported
- Maintain and review financial policies, procedures and controls
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations across the jurisdictions in which the organisation operates
- Line manage and support the Finance Officer

Skills Required
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on finance professional who is comfortable operating autonomously within a small international organisation.
You should have broad financial management experience and experience working within an international organisation. Previous Charity / NFP experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
An accounting qualification or equivalent level of knowledge is desirable, as is previous experience managing finance staff. Knowledge of QuickBooks would also be useful.
The role can be undertaken predominantly remotely, although the ability to attend the organisation’s London SE1 office occasionally would be preferred.
There is considerable flexibility around the working pattern, making this potentially particularly well suited to an established portfolio/freelance finance professional.
