Finance Manager – Innovation & Business Growth

Newly Qualified or an Experienced Finance Professional Ready for Your Next Challenge?

Full-Time | On-Site | Hälsa Group

Are you a finance professional who’s excited by more than just spreadsheets?

We’re looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking Finance Manager who wants to do more than produce month-end reports. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing healthcare business where you’ll help shape the future of our finance department through innovation, technology, and continuous improvement.

Whether you’re a newly qualified accountant looking for your first Finance Manager role, or an experienced Finance Manager ready for a fresh challenge in a growing, forward-thinking business, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for someone who is excited by innovation, embraces new technology, enjoys improving systems and processes, and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of our business.

At Hälsa, we believe finance should do more than report on the past—it should help drive the future.

The Role

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Head Office. We believe the best ideas come from collaboration, so you’ll work closely with our Managing Director, leadership team, and clinic managers to support the business, improve processes, and help shape the future of Hälsa.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll lead the day-to-day finance function while supporting the wider leadership team with commercial insight, strategic planning, and operational improvements.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence how finance operates across our clinics, improve efficiencies, introduce new technologies, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day finance function across the business.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports, and board reporting.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Complete month-end and year-end processes accurately and on time.
  • Oversee Sage accounting software and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage payroll processes, pensions, and HMRC compliance.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Manage revenue journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
  • Produce KPI reports and financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to improve profitability and business performance.
  • Support clinic managers with financial reporting and commercial insight.
  • Continuously review and improve financial systems and processes.
  • Research, trial, and implement AI, automation, and new technologies to improve efficiency across the finance department.
  • Act as the company’s super user for private medical insurance portals and billing systems.
  • Manage relationships with private medical insurers, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and payments are received promptly.
  • Oversee credit control, debtor management, and payment reconciliations.
  • Ensure supplier payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Support audits and liaise with external accountants and advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation and best practice.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support future business growth.
  • Take ownership of finance projects and contribute to the continued development of the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
