Finance Manager

Location: Hybrid
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded and technically strong Finance Manager to join a fast-growing, international technology business.

Working closely with Sales, Delivery and Operations teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of revenue recognition, gross margin reporting and commercial performance insights across a global customer base. This is a highly visible position offering exposure to complex customer contracts, evolving revenue models and senior stakeholders across the business.

This role would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys combining strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial partnering and continuous improvement.

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end close activities relating to revenue recognition, project costs and gross margin reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS 15 and internal accounting policies.
  • Review customer contracts, change orders and project set-ups to ensure accurate financial treatment.
  • Manage deferred and accrued revenue schedules and associated reconciliations.
  • Partner with commercial, operational and project teams to improve financial performance and profitability.
  • Provide meaningful analysis on revenue, margin performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and reconciliations are maintained to a high standard.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and finance systems enhancements.
  • Support business projects and ad hoc commercial analysis to aid decision making.

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Strong finance experience with a focus on revenue recognition in a commercial environment.
  • Proven knowledge and application of IFRS 15.
  • Experience reviewing complex customer contracts and revenue arrangements.
  • Strong business partnering skills and experience working closely with commercial teams.
  • Previous exposure to SaaS, subscription-based or recurring revenue models would be advantageous.
  • Experience improving processes, controls and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
