Finance Manager
£65,000–£75,000 + bonus | Permanent
Location: London
Flexibility to work from home 2 days per week
A growing international payments business is hiring a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of recurring finance activity and help improve the way the function operates. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will combine operational responsibility with opportunities to improve systems, controls, and automation as the team grows.
Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day finance function, managing a Finance Assistant.
- Own the month-end timetable, journals, and reconciliations, supporting management accounts and budget variance reporting.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and support cash monitoring and intercompany accounting.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, expenses, supplier records, fixed assets, and monthly commission calculations.
- Support audit preparation and introduce clearer processes, stronger controls, and practical automation.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, including at least one year post-qualification.
- Broad experience across transactional finance, month-end, and management accounts; financial services, SME, or multi-entity exposure is desirable.
- Good Excel skills and experience with Xero or similar accounting software.
- Organised, accurate, and comfortable taking ownership, solving problems, and improving manual processes.
