Birmingham | £55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits | On-site (5 days per week)

Are you an ambitious finance professional looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact and accelerate your career?

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded housebuilding business with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across the UK. They are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function whilst working closely alongside an experienced Finance Director.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for greater responsibility, broader exposure and a genuine pathway towards Financial Controller level in the future.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll be responsible for managing the finance function, overseeing an established transactional finance team and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all month-end reporting activities.

This is a hands-on role that combines operational finance leadership with month-end and management accounting responsibilities, making it ideally suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail whilst also helping drive improvements and developing their team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
