The role
Join a highly engaged finance team where you'll play a key role in supporting business performance and decision-making across the organisation. You'll be responsible for delivering insightful management reporting, financial analysis, modelling and business planning support that helps the business make informed strategic positions. Working across a broad range of projects and initiatives, you'll provide robust financial support, validate business cases, and respond to ad hoc commercial and operational analysis requests that drive value across the business.
Alongside partnering with stakeholders, you'll oversee core financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities, supporting strong financial controls and accurate financial performance monitoring. You'll own the analysis and presentation of monthly results, drive continuous improvement across end-to-end finance processes, and take ownership of the annual audit process as the primary contact for external auditors. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with business partnering and influencing at a senior level.
This is a hybrid position based at our welcoming offices in Reading, with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities
- Support to the accounting and reporting area during the preparation, review and submission of both local statutory and consolidated annual accounts
- Coordinate and prepare financial statements, audits, and other statutory requirements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations, and implement internal controls and best practices.
- Preparation of month end closings on SAP/PBCS/FCCS – and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage cash flow and working capital
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders based on financial data and trends
- Evaluate and manage financial risks and opportunities, and provide guidance on financial planning and decision making.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis

Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAEW or ICAS).
- Ideally Big-4 Audit experience
- Master in Finance, Accounting or similar will be highly valued.
