Are you an ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant looking for a hands-on Finance Manager role with genuine progression?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing Advertising SME, taking ownership of the UK finance function and working closely with an experienced Finance Director and senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing and Operations in UK & UAE.

This is a varied role covering month-end, financial reporting, revenue recognition, FP&A, commercial analysis, audit and business partnering.

The Role:

  • You will own the month-end close from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the P&L and balance sheet.
  • Own month-end close and Group reporting submissions.
  • Review journals, reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.
  • Provide P&L variance analysis and management commentary.
  • Work with the Revenue Accountant on revenue recognition, WIP, collections and aged debtors.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and FP&A.
  • Produce commercial analysis covering costs, margins and profit-share arrangements.
  • Review contracts and ensure commercial arrangements are correctly reflected in the accounts.
  • Lead the annual audit alongside the Finance Director.
  • Support VAT, statutory accounts and corporation tax requirements.
  • Apply UK GAAP and IFRS, including IFRS 16.
  • Line manage and develop a finance team

Requirements:

  • We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting skills and commercial aptitude, hands-on approach.
  • Experience within Media, Advertising, Agencies or a similar contractual/project-based environment.
  • Strong P&L and balance sheet experience.
  • Experience within an international Group and ideally multi-currency reporting.
  • Good knowledge of revenue recognition, WIP, accruals, fixed assets and IFRS 16.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial models.
  • FP&A, forecasting and business partnering experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong systems capability and the ability to adapt to new technology.

Experience of cloud-based ERP finance system would be advantageous, as would experience using AI tools within finance.

This is a busy, high-exposure role offering a steep learning curve and genuine progression. You'll work closely with a highly experienced Finance Director who is keen to develop the successful candidate, with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the business grows.
