We are working with an education charity based in Bath to recruit a Finance Manager to take responsibility for the smooth running of its day-to-day finance function.

This is a broad, hands-on role combining financial management, team management and business partnering. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day finance operations and overseeing the finance team
  • Producing monthly management information and supporting budget holders
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, reconciliations and financial controls
  • Supporting budgeting, year-end accounts, audit and VAT returns
  • Improving finance systems, processes and ways of working
  • Providing clear financial advice and guidance to colleagues across the organisation

We’re looking for someone who is part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) or AAT Level 4 qualified with relevant experience, with a strong grounding in financial accounting and management information. You’ll need experience of managing or developing staff, strong Excel and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
