The Opportunity
We are representing an Energy business which is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking to appoint a technically strong and commercially minded qualified Finance Manager to work closely with the Group CFO.
This is a broad role within a small, high-performing team, offering the opportunity to move beyond traditional reporting and gain genuine exposure across finance, commercial and strategic activity.
You will take ownership of core group finance and reporting while working closely with the CFO on budgeting and forecasting, treasury, cash management, financing, M&A, business development and wider strategic projects.
The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, investors, banks, brokers and external advisers, with the opportunity to develop quickly across a broad range of finance and commercial areas.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own group consolidation, financial reporting and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements
- Lead interim, year-end and external audit processes
- Maintain group ledgers and oversee balance sheet reviews and financial controls
- Support treasury, cash management, payments and tax activities
- Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts, budgets and financial analysis
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support investment, financing and business decisions
- Provide clear analysis and commentary on financial performance, risks and opportunities
- Support M&A, financing, new investments, corporate structuring and business development projects
- Improve finance processes, systems and management reporting
- Build strong relationships with banks, brokers, investors, lawyers and other external advisers

What You'll Bring:
- ACA, CA or equivalent qualified accountant with 1–2 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit and Group consolidation
- Up-to-date IFRS knowledge
- Big 4 or Top 6 experience desirable but not essential
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Commercial mindset with excellent analytical and communication skills
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment
- Ambition to develop broader finance and commercial experience
