Finance Manager / Commercial Management Accountant
Maidstone - 1-2 days per week, London 1 day per week (the rest working from home)
Salary Guide: £50,000 - £55,000 + study support if required
We're looking for a commercially minded Accountant to join a unique and varied business, working closely with the Finance Director of this multi-site, growing SME business.
Reporting directly to the FD, this is a really interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys being more than just a numbers person. You'll be a trusted finance partner, providing clear management information, commercial insight and helping senior stakeholders make confident business decisions, whilst also handling straight forward transactional finance tasks as well as Monthly reporting and management accounts.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Commercial finance role - covering all aspects of monthly management accounts as well as business partnering with the various stake-holders and also transactional finance duties also
- You will be taking ownership of the monthly management accounts, budgets and variance analysis across a number of their units.
- Keeping a close eye on cash flow, financial controls and governance.
- Working with auditors and tax advisors and ensuring statutory and tax requirements are met across three legal entities.
- Turning financial information into clear, meaningful commercial insight for senior decision-makers.
- Working alongside creative, production and commercial teams on budgets, forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Managing internal transactions, sales and purchases, as well as supporting accurate inventory and cost-of-sales reporting.
- Building strong relationships across the businesses and acting as a trusted financial advisor.
- And, importantly, handling sensitive financial information with complete confidentiality

What are we looking for in this role?
We're ideally looking for a part-qualified accountant, preferably studying ACCA or CIMA or equivalent, with solid experience across management reporting and business partnering. Applications will also be considered for those individuals who are stop-studiers or Qualified Accountants who maybe seeking a hands-on role.
You'll need to be commercially confident, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and able to explain the numbers in a straightforward way.
