Main Purpose of Job
To provide financial planning, management accounts, business partnering and commercial finance support with a key focus on the new WTA client project and wider strategic business initiatives. The role is responsible for month-end close, forecasting, variance analysis, client reporting, project support and commercial analysis to support decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Lead financial oversight, month-end close and quarterly client reporting for the WTA project
- Lead finance support to the TMO project management team on Project One
- Act as finance lead on RFPs, including financial modelling and analysis for future deals for FD review
- Own studios pipeline consolidation across Production, Tech & Ops, and Cingularity to ensure clear oversight of total deal value to IMG
- Provide broader FD finance support across projects, including ad hoc analysis for SLT
- Take ownership of monthly management accounts, month-end close and variance analysis across designated projects and cost centres.
- Deliver quarterly, annual and ad hoc forecasting, planning and analysis across a portfolio of productions and strategic initiatives
- Partner with Production, Legal, Sales and Finance colleagues to ensure accurate revenue, expense and cash forecasts are produced in line with contractual terms and revenue recognition policies.
- Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management across relevant projects and deals.
- Liaise with production teams, AR, Corporate Accounting and Treasury to ensure invoices are raised, cash is collected and finance issues are resolved on a timely basis.
- Provide commercial insight and financial challenge to stakeholders, translating financial data into clear recommendations for finance and non-finance teams.
- Support audit queries and ensure financial processes, controls and reporting are maintained to a high standard.
- Advise and assist operational teams on financial procedures and wider commercial matters affecting their projects.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
Mandatory
- Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, including working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Strong management accounts experience, including ownership of monthly close and budget versus actual variance analysis
- Experience in business partnering senior stakeholders and providing decision support on projects, deals and investments
- Experience in preparing financial models, scenario analysis and commercial evaluations for new business opportunities
- Understanding of the functions of other Finance departments, including Treasury, Tax, AP and AR
- Able to work on own initiative to identify and resolve problems
- Confident and flexible team player

Desirable
- Experience in a media-related environment
- Experience using SAP and other budgeting or forecasting systems
- Understanding of television or sports production budgeting processes
Skills And Abilities
Mandatory
- Must be able to determine priorities and organise work to meet deadlines
- Must be able to work on own initiative to identify problem areas and work through to a satisfactory conclusion
- Strong Excel and financial modelling capability
- Able to communicate financial issues clearly to senior stakeholders and non-finance teams
- Comfortable handling multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications And Training
Mandatory
- Qualified Accountant ACA / ACMA / ACCA or equivalent
Aptitudes/Personal Profile
- Must be able to work calmly under pressure and work as part of a team to achieve results
- Commercially minded, proactive and solution-oriented
- Comfortable operating with autonomy while supporting wider finance leadership
