Finance Manager - Media

Location: London

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join a growing media business, reporting to the Finance Director and taking ownership of a broad finance function.

This is a hands-on role covering month-end, bookkeeping, project accounting, revenue recognition, media accruals, reporting and forecasting, alongside the management of two Finance Assistants.

Ideal for a recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with 3-4 years' relevant experience who is ready to take the next step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance team and manage two Finance Assistants.
  • Manage the month-end close process.
  • Oversee project finances, revenue recognition and media accruals.
  • Produce budgets, forecasts and management reports.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Review sales invoices and supplier requests.
  • Improve finance processes, systems and controls.
  • Provide financial insight and constructive challenge to the wider business.
  • Support the Finance Director with wider projects.
  • Identify opportunities to use technology and AI to improve efficiency.

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • 3-4 years' relevant finance experience.
  • Experience within media, creative, entertainment or service-based businesses.
  • Strong accounting and double-entry knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills.
  • Confident using finance systems and improving processes.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring junior staff.
  • Organised, proactive and commercially minded.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
