Job Title: Finance Manager
We're recruiting for an established and growing manufacturing business seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function.
This is a broad role working closely with the Managing Director, with responsibility for management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, expenditure, stock, payroll, and statutory compliance. You'll also manage and develop a Finance Officer and play an active role in improving finance processes and supporting business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Take ownership of cash flow, credit control, and expenditure.
- Oversee stock levels and valuation.
- Manage payroll, VAT, and HMRC submissions.
- Oversee external audit requirements.
- Improve finance systems, processes, and KPIs.
- Line-manage and develop the Finance Officer.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager with ideally 5 years of relevant experience, a relevant accountancy qualification or equivalent experience, and strong Sage and Excel skills.

You'll be commercially minded, organized, and confident, with proven experience taking ownership of budgets, cash flow, stock, or expenditure. A proactive, hands-on approach, and the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders are essential.
