Job Description:

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Direct-To-Consumer, Wholesale & Marketing team here in London!

The DTC finance team are responsible for the financial management of Disney+ in EMEA, The Walt Disney Company’s Direct to Consumer entertainment service, which is available in 70 markets.

This role includes managing a senior finance analyst and a finance analyst and focuses on management of DTC Wholesale revenues and Brand & Content Marketing Costs. The role will report into Senior Finance Manager, DTC Commercial but also have a dotted line into Finance Director, DTC Commercial & Marketing for the B&C Marketing element.

The role will partner with the business to provide budget guidance as well as overseeing the team’s delivery during the standard FPA cycles (Budget, Forecast, FYP and actuals). Within the wider finance community, the role closely partners with local market finance teams, EMEA Platform Distribution, EMEA Marketing, DTC revenue finance in Burbank as well as Controllership.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

Wholesale:

  • Preparing wholesale reviews for each reporting cycle partnering with subs growth
  • Managing wholesale risks and opportunities
  • Preparation of the forecast, AOP, close reporting decks
  • UK & regional wholesale finance lead (tracking performance, deal reviews, deal modelling, forecast cycles)
  • Key partner to Wholesale subs growth lead, Platform Distribution in reporting cycles including LRP build & Business Development on reviewing new wholesale deals / opportunities / ad hoc analysis
  • Documentation of Wholesale financial processes and provide recommendation for improvement
  • Manage, mentor and develop the Finance Analyst and review their responsibilities

B&C Marketing:

  • Manage end to end financial processes for marketing deliverables for close, forecast, AOP and LRP
  • Provide business support for the UK marketing team
  • Develop and deliver financial presentations for key business stakeholders
  • Review and analyse marketing spend by title and by market and compare to business objectives and identify trends
  • Identify risks and opportunities with marketing spend including underspend
  • Build relationships with key budget holders to provide specialist advice, guidance and support to help the financial management of Disney+
  • Documentation of marketing financial processes and provide recommendation for improvement
  • Manage, develop and mentor the Senior Finance analyst
  • Work closely with Finance Director on ad hoc analysis
  • Develop close relationships with Disney+ and Studio marketing teams, wider EMEA Finance team, with a ‘one team’ approach’ and build a network across lines of business, markets, Burbank and controllership, sharing resources and knowledge.

The Experience We Require From You:

  • ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant experience in business partnering, financial planning and analysis (at least 5 years).
  • Attention to detail
  • Interest in the evolution of media
  • Experience in presentations will be useful
  • Working in an equivalent role within the Media sector a big plus
  • Working with financial IT systems, SAP/BW, Cognos Reporting and excellent proven Excel skills.
